NEW CLUB WORLD SEATS NOW AVAILABLE ON ALL BA JFK FLIGHTS
British Airways New Club World product is now available on all 96 Boeing 747 flights a week between Heathrow and New York JFK.
Engineers are retro-fitting up to three 747s a month with the new larger Club World flat-bed seats. A dramatically better Audio/Video On Demand (AVOD) system is also being fitted at the same time throughout each aircraft. Seventeen of the airline's 100 long-haul aircraft have been fitted with the new cabin as part of a £100 million overhaul. The installation programme is on track to be completed by the middle of next year.
BA commercial director Robert Boyle says: "British Airways set the industry standard in 2000 by launching the first ever flat bed for business customers, but we are constantly striving to innovate and improve. Heathrow-JFK is a crucial business route and we are delighted to provide a virtual guarantee of our new product on this high-frequency route”.

MONEY LAUNDERING LEGISLATION – MORE NEW STUFF
On 15 June 2007 a new European Union (EU) law comes into force on travellers declaring cash, to help combat money laundering. People who are either entering the UK from a non-EU country, or are travelling from the UK to a non-EU country and are carrying 10,000 Euros or more (or the equivalent in other currencies), will be required to declare the cash to HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) at the place of their departure from, or arrival in, the UK. The obligation to declare applies to the person carrying the cash, regardless of whether that person is the owner. Forms on which to make the declaration will be available at ports and airports and will also be downloadable from www.hmrc.gov.uk. Travellers could face a penalty of up to £5,000 if they fail to comply with the obligation to declare, or provide incorrect or incomplete information. A leaflet explaining everything is available – click HERE… or you can contact HM Revenue & Customs on 0845 010 9000.
